Creating Memorable Experiences!
Last year was an absolute blast on the water! I had the chance to fish with 66 amazing people — and what made it even better was that 12 of them experienced the thrill of catching their very first Lake Michigan salmon. There’s nothing like watching someone feel that first strike and reel in a fish they’ll never forget! What’s really cool is that many of those 66 folks came out with us more than once — turning one-time trips into lasting memories. Every single person who stepped on the boat brought something special, and I truly appreciate each of them. Sure, we caught plenty of fish (some real beauties, too!), but the real highlights? The laughs, the stories, the bonding, and the conversations that seemed to flow as easily as the waves. Those moments — the connections made on the water — are what make these trips unforgettable. For me, it’s about way more than just a few fish.

Jeff Spurgess
Hey, I’m Jeff Spurgess and I've been fishing since 1976 — it all started on Tipsico Lake in a little 12-foot rowboat. I was just a kid, but from the moment I felt that first tug on the line, I was hooked (pun totally intended). I grew up in Michigan, went to Milford High School, and later earned a finance degree from Central Michigan University. Since 1992, I’ve worked in the collection industry — a solid career, but no matter where life has taken me or what job I’ve had, fishing has always been my true passion. There’s just something about being on the water that resets everything for me. I especially love creating memorable and positive experiences for friends and family out there — whether it’s teaching someone to troll for the first time or just soaking in a quiet sunset. Fishing’s always been more than a pastime for me — it’s a way to connect, unwind, and make lasting memories.

Euge
Euge is the heart of our fishing traditions—a devoted father, Vietnam veteran, and lifelong fisherman whose love for the water has shaped generations. He taught me how to fish with patience and passion, sharing not only the skills but the deeper lessons of respect for nature and quiet perseverance. A proud retiree of Detroit Diesel, where he dedicated decades of hard work, Euge also gave our family one of its greatest gifts: introducing us to Ludington in the early 1980s. Since then, it’s become a cherished place of memories, sunrises, and countless fishing trips. Whether trolling on a calm morning or swapping stories at the dock, Euge’s legacy is anchored in the values of family, service, and an unwavering love for the great outdoors.

Riley & Delaney
Riley and Delaney are my daughters (and will likely make a ploy to have this removed!), my favorite fishing partners, and two of the best people I know (no offense to the rest of my family and friends!). Both were raised in Hartland, Michigan, and graduated from Hartland High School—growing up surrounded by lakes, woods, and a love for the outdoors. Riley is graduating from Michigan State University, while Delaney is going to Grand Valley State University, each carving their own path with determination and heart. From the time they were babies, they’ve had fishing rods in their hands and smiles on their faces—especially when we're in Ludington, their true happy place. Whether it's reeling in a big one or just soaking up the sunrise on the water, there's no one I'd rather have in the boat beside me.

Morgan
Morgan is a 2022 graduate of Hartland High School and now proudly plays golf at Ferris State University. While golf keeps her busy, her heart has always been happy on the water. Growing up, she spent countless days fishing on Morgan Lake in Brighton, MI — a perfectly named spot where her love for fishing began. Introduced to fishing by her uncle (Jeff) and her grandpa (Euge), Morgan started out reeling in bluegill and bass. These days, she’s all about the thrill of big lake salmon fishing. Whether it’s trolling at dawn on a calm quite morning watching the sunrise or soaking in the last light of day, Morgan feels very much at home near the water.
