The weather was not looking good earlier in the week so I didn’t consider going out today until I took the dog out at 6am. Light NE winds picking up the NE 10 MPH. I ended up hooking up with Mark and got down to Del Ray fishing around noon. We set up a little in the Ontario side under the A bridge and I had one on within a few minutes but lost it. Little did I know that would be my highlight of the day. The ON police approached us about 10 minutes into our drift and asked us to leave ON. we were forced to fish the gin clear water on the MI side. We went from the A bridge to the power lines, 2 rocks to the steel mill, MI side of Fighting Island – nothing. We went to the East side to Grassy Island and Mark picked up an 18 inch walleye on pimp-daddy, then back to nothing. We did Mud Island into the Wyandotte channel, seen our first other boat net one – nothing for us. We pulled and went up to the southern tip of Belle Isle and worked our way back to Del Ray – nothing. Not what we had in mind, but still a good experience. I’ll blame it on the ON police! No photos!
